The Broker — What It Is
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background is relevant. It says the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For a platform this new, that range is solid.
What You Trade On
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better depth of market. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
FIX API is available for bots but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently in the works. That should be a good addition once it is live.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not for typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
The execution is the area where this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that the setup is serious. That signals something about priorities.
Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering holds up. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
This is the part that requires honesty. TabTrade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.
That said. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It does inform your assessment.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off works is your call.
The Bonus
TabTrade has a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you commit.
